They call me the Grumpy Guy, and these are my Guides to the outdoors. I am getting ready to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, and I have two friends with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a genetic disease that causes blindness. One of them was coming from England and going to hike the trail with me, but the cost for insurance for him to join me was ridiculous, so I am raising money to help fight this disease.

While I won’t be hiking barefoot, I’ve spent about 20 years as the Barefoot Woodworker.  You can see some of my woodworking at the link below.
